This site has the architecture and travel photography of Liao Yusheng.
St. Ignatius by Steven Holl is one of my favorites.

This site displays book cover designs and lets you comment on each.

I was pointed to this source from http://www.notcot.org a while back. The Library of Congress has photos on Flickr and also links to their own sites. Some of the photos are great because of their uniqueness. This one for instance reminds me of why digital photos are too perfect. I remember when almost every role of film would have a happy accident.

I found this site somewhere. It just has pages of labels and publisher plates. Some are elegant, some just laid out well.

This is not my xray, but I saw one of my teeth today on a light box at the dentist.
I think it is a very interesting visual. It reminds me of a Robert Rauschenberg paintng.

A friend of mine just purchased a home. Along with the home came his very own bomb shelter.

No discussion of designer calendars would not be complete without the Pentagram Type calendar.

Another Free Calendar with the theme of individual action.

Here is a photo of Matt Bell’s office with the Stendig calendar. The Stendig Calendar was designed in 1966 by Massimo Vignelli. You gotta love Helvetica.
Other work by Massimo at http://www.vignelli.com.
I have wanted to start this project for some time, and since it is January 1, it seemed appropriate to get going.
As this blog grows and develops, I hope to provide links, samples, and direction to good design.
As a first step in that direction, I hope you will enjoy these free calendar downloads that I designed for 2009. Two of them are 11X17 and the other is 24X36 which can be printed as one large poster or tiled in 4, 11X17 print outs.
More to come.
